Germain Honda of Dublin serving the greater Dublin area knows as well as anyone, how popular Eco-friendly models are nowadays. Between constantly rising gas prices and potentially looming threats of ozone depletion, low-emissions and fuel-economy are two very important factors when considering a new Honda.
Well luckily for both the environmentally- and wallet-conscious alike, the all-new Honda Fit EV is finally available for sale in the U.S.
The first Honda Fit model to hit U.S. shores was delivered to a couple by the name of Matt and Becky Walton from Ventura California. The lucky inaugural owners snagged up their new electric Honda by signing up for a lease online. And this isn't their first Honda either, the couple has owned at least four other models since the 70s, including a Honda Odyssey that they still have today.
Mr. Walton describes owning the first Honda Fit EV as a true honor saying that he's looking forward to a "fun driving experience," among many other things like its standout fuel-efficiency and achieving 118 MPGe* (the EPA's mile-per-gallon electric equivalency), in a single charge. "The Honda Fit EV is not only a sustainable and energy-efficient transportation option with the highest fuel-efficiency rating of any EV, but it has the added bonus of being fun-to-drive and can fully recharge from 'empty' to 'full' in less than three hours,"1 he says.
