We at Germain Honda of Dublin love to take the time to recognize the Big H for its many awards and accomplishments, and we're here, today, to bring you the latest: Honda was recently ranked number five in the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 U.S. Initial Quality Study. What's even more noteworthy, however, is that the only brands to beat out Honda were luxury automakers. Therefore, Honda may be number five overall, but in terms of mass-marketed, non-premium brands, it's number one.
The information for the Initial Quality Study is gathered each year from surveys taken by new car owners after 90 days of ownership. The new car owners are asked to report any design-related problems or concerns, and asked to note any defects or malfunctions they notice.
The Honda brand scored very highly overall, but there are a few models that J.D. Power and Associates took special notice of: the 2012 Honda Odyssey, the 2012 Honda Pilot and the 2012 Honda Ridgeline. All of these new Honda models are incidentally manufactured in the same location, the Honda manufacturing plant in Lincoln, Alabama.
The 2012 Initial Quality Study is a testament to the satisfaction of new Honda drivers when they first buy their cars. But, we at Germain Honda of Dublin are positive that if you keep up with your routine Honda service you will be happy with your Honda for much longer than 90 days. If you have any questions about how to keep your Honda at its best, please feel free to contact us at (866)864-3930.
