What’s the Difference Between the Passport TrailSport and TrailSport Elite?
Though often subtle, differences do exist, as the calling card of the TrailSport Elite is that it packs in just about every luxury and convenience feature it can. While the TrailSport has Smart Entry with Walk-Away Auto Lock on the front doors and tailgate, the TrailSport Elite includes it on all doors. Additionally, puddle lights, auto-dimming side mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a Bose® Premium Sound System are among the features exclusive to the TrailSport Elite. The TrailSport Elite also boasts premium seating materials with ventilation, and a little extra external camera capability, including a multi-view system supporting TrailWatch®, which offers a view of any potential obstacles outside of the vehicle.
That’s not to suggest that the TrailSport is lacking in any significant way. In fact, a true off-road enthusiast probably prefers it. The TrailSport includes every available trail-ready mechanical enhancement, like an off-road tuned suspension, a skid plate, and Trail Torque Logic, which adjusts the power distribution as needed on uneven terrain. It also has one fairly massive advantage on the TrailSport Elite: easy-to-clean interior surfaces that can stand up to a day out in the dirt and mud.

Which Passport Trim Should You Choose?
Ultimately, there truly isn’t an incorrect option when it comes to choosing between the Honda Passport TrailSport or TrailSport Elite. Both trim levels carry everything you’d expect from a Honda, like the Honda Sensing suite of safety and assistance features and top-shelf infotainment, including Google Built-In® and Alexa Built-In®.
